Hand embroidery - HOW?

I'm getting married and was emerging around the Internet for gifts for parents. I found the perfect gift for my mother. A scarf embroidered with a beautiful poem. My mom is super smart and a crier, "and have always a bust of the two, but she always says" some days you're padding "like me" and I always say NO ....
